Dunn’s Run is a 5k walk/run with a 5-mile run option that takes place at 7 am on the first Sunday of October at Deerfield Beach. The run benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County. It’s a challenging course which takes you through the streets and across the bridge. The view is good and it’s been a very well attended event the last 3 years that I’ve participated. Parking is no problem, but they close the bridge early to prepare for the race so you would have to take a detour if the bridge is closed. There is ample free parking at The Cove so arriving a few minutes before race time is not an issue. You can usually get a discount on the registration fee around June to August. There are a ton of vendors, free goodies, water, fruits, and such. It’s a really great event that benefits a good cause and running/jogging the course is an excellent workout!
